Willow Furniture Classes
Introduction to Willow Making for Parents and Children
Ages 6 to 16 (Beginner class)
Explore the magic of nature with your child while building a willow project. Build better communication through listening and by sharing ideas. Discover your own magical possibilities while playing together. Have fun while learning new skills that you can take home.
Example projects: bird feeder, stuffed animal chair/bed, CD rack, skate board stand.
All tools and materials are provided. Snacks and juice also provided.
4 hour class: $125.00 (includes 1 adult & 1 child).
Introduction to Willow Furniture
(Beginner Level Adult )
This class is for those with little or no knowledge of tools or building.
Explore your magic and passion for creating while building a willow project. Gain confidence with tools, improved dexterity, and better co-ordination. Connect with nature and yourself. Build self-esteem and an awareness of your hidden abilities. Learn to use a variety of tools and take home new skills that you can keep using.
Example projects: planter, bird feeder, small table.
Bring a lunch. Tea and juice provided.
All tools and materials are provided.
4 hour class: $100.00
Introduction to Willow Furniture
(Intermediate Level Adult)
This class is for those with some knowledge of tools and building skills.
This class is for those who have a foundation in building and want more time and instruction on a larger project.
Discover your magic and passion while making a willow project.
Design your own willow project and learn to select the best materials for your work. Hone your skills and gain more confidence with tools. Explore creative solutions and learn some tricks of the trade. Enjoy a tour of the historic Hutchinson farm.
Example projects: Coffee table, bookshelf, plant stand.

6 hour class: $140.00
Willow Furniture
(Advanced Level Adult)
This class is for those with previous experience in willow furniture making.
Learn to build your own Willow Chair. Enjoy a trip to the local woods to identify willow and other materials. Discover the secret to keeping your chair looking beautiful.
All tools and materials are provided.
Bring lunches. Snacks and juice will be provided.
Two 6 hour days, from 10:00am to 4:00pm: $250.00.
Rustic Furniture Making
What is rustic furniture?
Rustic furniture is made from natural and found materials from forests, riverbeds, oceans, logged areas, etc. The mortise and tenon method is used for joinery.
The classes in Rustic furniture making progress in the same manner as the Willow Furniture Making classes, with Adult/Child, Adult Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced classes offered.
Adult/Child: 4 hours $125.00
Adult (Beginner): 4 hours $100.00
Adult (Intermediate): 6 hours $140.00
Adult (Advanced): Two 6-hour days $250.00
Each class builds on the skills learned in the previous class. There is consistent emphasis on safety with tools, and one's knowledge of building increases with each new project.

Whittle Your Way to God
Whittle Your Way to God is a fun, experiential way to get connected to self, nature.
Come relax, explore, and share with friends. There will be drumming provided as you take time to draw and journal, and of course time to find what lays hidden in a simple piece of wood through whittling.
Materials are supplied, including tools, gloves, paper, drawing, and writing materials.
Feel free to bring your own favorite journal, gloves, and sketching materials.
